This collection is a group of Bismarck documents in facsimile published by the Auswartiges Amt. According to the description of the documents by Professor Frederic B.M. Hollyday, they give great insight into the way Chancellor Otto von Bismarck ran the foreign service of Germany. These documents reveal that matters of form in drafting documents were very important to him, despite his immersion in die grosse Politik. This collection also offers insight into Bismarck's relationships with others, particulary Emperor William I.
